Andre M. “Dre” Geiger, 31, unexpectedly went to be with the Lord September 6, 2017 in Boynton Beach, Florida. The son of loving parents, Marcus and Latrenda (Leach) Geiger, he was born May 7, 1986 in Gallipolis, Ohio. Andre accepted Jesus Christ as his savior May 6th, 2017. He was a 2004 graduate of Gallia Academy High School, where he was an outstanding three sport athlete who loved baseball, basketball and football.
Andre leaves behind to cherish his memory his parents as well as his wife, Tarra Minnis Geiger; children, Kylie Plantz and Andre Marcus Geiger; sister, Alexis Geiger and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Rusty Leach; paternal grandparents, Burley Geiger, Sr., Willie Mae Geiger and Dorothy Reed; aunt, Kellie Leach and uncles, Calvin Geiger and Thomas Geiger.
Andre’s family and friends meant everything to him and he loved them unconditionally. He established many lifelong friends and lived life to the fullest. He never met a stranger that didn’t soon become his friend. Andre had a heart of gold and an unforgettable smile.
Andre had recently found his calling and purpose in life to help counsel and mentor those who were fighting their own addiction hoping to inspire them by his own experiences.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Friday, September 22, 2017 in the Paint Creek Baptist Church, 833 3rd Ave, Gallipolis, Ohio with Pastor Christian Scott officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Street Cemetery, Gallipolis. Friends and family may call at the church 12:00-1:00 PM Friday.
Pall bearers for Andres’ service include: Tony Moore, Michael Valentine, Burley Geiger, Jim Gilmore, Brett Leach, Donnie Johnson, Felipe Beach with Honorary Pall bearers Wes Larkins and Kyle Hudson.
