Cecil Eugene Johnston, 69, Langsville, Ohio passed away Sunday, July 16, 2017 at Ohio State University Hospital, Wexner Medical Center, Columbus, Ohio. He was born September 29, 1947 at Oceana, West Virginia to the late Eugene C. and Wanda Caton Johnston. He was an U.S. Army Veteran who retired in 2002 from IBEW Local 683, Columbus, Ohio and who is currently a trustee for Salem Township, Meigs County, serving in his sixteenth year. His memberships include Wilkesville Orphans Friend  F&AM Lodge 275, Royal Arch and Scottish Rites, Wilkesville Chapter Order of Eastern Star 207 and the Wilkesville American Legion Post 476. 

Cecil married Rebecca Houdashelt and she survives in addition to their son, Kelly Johnston, Florence, Kentucky. Also surviving are sisters: Melva (Jay) Tracy, Pomeroy, Ohio; Bonita (Jim) Lama, Springfield, Ohio; Vicki (Roy) Taylor, Rutland, Ohio and brother, Keith Johnston, Langsville, Ohio.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, July 21, 2017 at McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel with Reverend Heath Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow at Salem Center Cemetery where Military Graveside Rites will be conducted by Wilkesville American Legion Post 476. The family will receive friends Thursday, July 20, 2017 at McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel from 4:00–8:00 PM. Masonic services will be conducted Thursday at 7:45 PM by Orphans Friend Lodge 476 followed by Eastern Star Services by Wilkesville OES 207.
