Dominick William Young

Dominick William Young, 10, Point Pleasant, West Virginia passed away Sunday, August 21, 2016 at his residence. He was born October 13, 2005 in Columbus, Ohio, son of Greg W. and Maria (Hill) Young. Dominick was beginning the school year as a fourth grade student attending Roosevelt Elementary School, Point Pleasant and previously attended Green Elementary and Addaville Elementary Schools, both in Gallia County, Ohio. For those who were able to meet and know Dominick, he was a ready friend and will never be forgotten – he will be sadly missed by all.

Dominick is survived by his parents, Greg and Maria Young; maternal grandmother, Barbara Hill, Bidwell, Ohio; paternal grandparents, Ralph and Brenda Young, Bidwell, Ohio; great-grandmothers, Rose Lawson, Bidwell, Ohio and Evelyn Montgomery, Gallipolis, Ohio; uncle, Benjamin Anthony Hill, Columbus, Ohio and special friends: John Kersey, who he thought of fondly as a grandfather; Austin and Bailey Young, Bill Burns and Gwenda Dyer, Dakota Ellis, Shyanne Lawson, Nelida and Devan Hernandez and a host of great-aunts, great-uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Michael Hill and great-grandfathers, Glenn Lawson and Paul “Buck” Montgomery.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Wednesday August 31, 2016 in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis with. Burial will follow in Centenary Cemetery, Gallipolis. Friends and family may call at the funeral home on Wednesday 11:00 A.M. until time of service.                                                                             .
