Donald Gene “Jim” McBride, 71, Bidwell, Ohio passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at his residence. Born April 29, 1945 at Gallipolis, Ohio, he was the son of the late Willis Watson and Hannah Caroline (Rutan) McBride. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam Era from 1965 to 1967 as a crew chief with the 1st CAV Division. He enjoyed carpentry, camping, gardening and following his grandchildren’s sports achievements.

Jim is survived by his companion of 38 years, Joyce Robie, Bidwell, Ohio; son, Nathan Gene McBride, New Carlisle, Ohio; daughter, Colina Mickie McBride, Fort Worth, Texas; stepchildren: Buddy Campbell, Kettering, Ohio; Vada (Howard) McCullough, White Settlement, Texas; Tammi Brabham, Bidwell, Ohio and Steve (Georgie) Robie, Bidwell, Ohio; special grandson, Ayden Gene McBride; sisters: Virginia “Jinx” Tipton, Gallipolis, Ohio; Frances (Harold) Hayes, Gallipolis, Ohio; Kay (Jackie) Easton, Bowling Green, Kentucky and Judy (Scott) Bailey, Gallipolis, Ohio; brother, Mike McBride, Checotah, Oklahoma and several loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by a twin sister, Donna Jane Werry and sister, Eleanor Nolan; brothers: Bill and Patrick McBride; brothers-in-law: Anthony “Tony” Werry, Eddie Feustal and Lee Nolan and sister-in-law, Elaine McBride.

Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 PM Sunday, May 22, 2016 in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel, Vinton, Ohio with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery, Bidwell, Ohio. Friends and family may call at the funeral home Sunday 1:00-3:00 PM.
