Katie Lee (Brumfield) Sprow

Katie Lee Sprow, 88, Gallipolis, Ohio went to be with the Lord Saturday, September 2, 2017 in Holzer Medical Center Gallipolis. She was born September 9, 1928 in Gallipolis, the daughter of the late Clarence and Marie (Carter) Brumfield. She married John Sprow October 26, 1947 and he preceded her in death February 28, 1996. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church where she was dedicated to the church choir.

Katie leaves behind to cherish her memory daughters: Susan (Charles) Beman, Thurman Ohio and Sherry (Jim Batey) Knopp, Columbus, Ohio; grandchildren: Aaron (Dawn) Knopp, Washington Court House, Ohio; Brian Knopp, Huntington, West Virginia and Jamie (Dustin) Fisher, Gallipolis Ohio; great grandchildren: Tayler Fisher, Sarah Johnson and Gage Wilson; special friends: Naomi Beman, Joan Beman, Zoie Taylor and Patty Hays and best friend and companion, Prince (dog).

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by brothers and sister-in-law, Carter Brumfield, Luther Brumfield and Helen Brumfield.

A Gathering of Friends will be conducted Friday, September 8, 2017 10:00-11:00 AM at the Grace United Methodist Church, 600 2nd Avenue Gallipolis, Ohio with a Memorial service to be conducted at 11:00 AM in the church chapel. Cremation services are under the direction of the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis who is honored to serve the Sprow Family.
