I really enjoyed getting to know Katie and appreciated her friendship. We shared a bond for everything Ohio State, she told me that she thought about my Dad when the Bucks played a big game and that was very touching to me. She talked to me about her brothers and remembered old Gallipolis, yes Brumfield Thomas! She was battling her chronic illness but always expended the energy to make me feel special. She was a joy. My condolences to all her loving family and friends. Dow Saunders

Miss Katie was one of a kind. We all had are own things to say about Katie, but she was a good person, would ask about how you were today, and give you that smile that was hers, she will be missed. The one thing I can remember about Katie is when Susan and Patty would come and see her you would hear Katie's voice right in the mix with them. Laugh and then the serious look, you know that look Susan. I just want to say she will be missed by all. Prayers for your family.

Katie loved my girls and was very complimentary when they sang or played in church. She always had a smile even when she was in the hospital. Prayers to those that loved her.

Katie and I worked together as volunteers at the hospital. She was a very sweet lady and always so pretty. I would try and go visit her whenever she was in the hospital. RIP Katie
