Rick Carpenter

Rick Carpenter, 58, Bidwell, Ohio passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at Holzer Medical Center.  He was born in Gallipolis, Ohio August 18, 1958 to the late Miles and Pauline Baker Carpenter. 

Rick is survived by his wife Kathy Browning Carpenter, Bidwell, Ohio ; daughter, Melena (Josh) Mims, Oahu, Hawaii; step-daughter, Tonya Keller, Vinton, Ohio; grandchildren: Ashtyn, Ethan and Colin Mims, Tylun and Kylun Campbell and Cayne Keller; brother, Roy (Tina) Carpenter, Vinton, Ohio; sisters: Joyce (Roscoe) Ward, Mary (Jonathan) Preston and Carol Sue Kemper, all of Vinton, Ohio; aunt, Garnet Barnett, South Carolina and several nephews and nieces.

In addition to his parents, Rick was preceded in death by brothers William and Frank Carpenter and half-brother, Bob Baker.

Rick was a faithful attendee of Vinton Baptist Church after he accepted the Lord as his Savior. He enjoyed attending his small group, the fellowship, love and hugs from the congregation and made many friends in his new found faith.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Holzer Medical Center Rehab for the exceptional care and support they provided during his stay.

In accordance with Rick’s wishes, there will be no services.  The McCoy-Moore Funeral Home is honored to serve the Carpenter Family.
