Cortney Marie Gilbert

Cortney Marie Gilbert, 29, Gallipolis, Ohio passed away Monday December 17, 2018 in St Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, West Virginia. She was born October 24, 1989 in Gallipolis, Ohio, daughter of Gary W. Gilbert, Vinton and Jennifer L. (Rick) Buck, Gallipolis.  Cortney previously attended Victory Lighthouse Church, Thurman, Ohio and she was a wonderful and loving daughter, mother and sister.

In addition to her parents, Cortney is survived by two children, Isaiah Matthew Gilbert and Carlie Marie Gilbert; brothers: Brandon Gilbert, Jeremiah (Karen) Gilbert and Jeremy Buck, all of Gallipolis, Ohio; sister, Erin Lyn Gilbert, Vinton; maternal grandmother, Linda Marie Dunaway, Vinton, Ohio; paternal grandmother, Goldie Marie Gilbert, Vinton, Ohio; special family friends Monte, Barbara, Chris and Chase Blanton and several aunts, uncles and extended family.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Brandee Buck; maternal grandfather, Jesse Lee Dunaway, Sr.; paternal grandfather, James Homer Gilbert and uncle, James Phillip Gilbert.

Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 PM Saturday, December 22, 2018 in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel, Vinton, Ohio. Burial will follow Poplar Ridge Cemetery, Bidwell, Ohio. Friends and family may call at the funeral home Saturday 10:00 AM until the time of service.
