Dorothea "Dot" Mae (Miller) Thomas

Dorothea “Dot” Thomas, 92, Gallipolis, Ohio passed away Monday, May 6, 2019 in Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis, Ohio. She was born May 16, 1926 in Rio Grande, Ohio, daughter of the late John Dale and Zella Lucina (George) Miller. She was employed for twenty-five years with Holzer Pediatrics as a unit secretary and volunteered for seven years with Holzer Cancer Resource Center. Dot was a very active member of Grace United Methodist Church, Gallipolis, Ohio.

She is survived by her children: Cheryl Enyart, Gallipolis; John Richard (Pam) Thomas, Athens, Ohio; William Dean (Cindy) Thomas, Lancaster, Ohio and Nathan Bedford (Terri) Thomas, Pickerington, Ohio; eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren; sisters: Louise (George) O’Briant, Bucyrus, Ohio; Mary Lou (Richard) Tenney, Ithaca, New York and Carol (Charlie) Huff, Grand Junction, Colorado.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Richard Thomas, January 21, 2005; son, James Dale Thomas; brothers, George Miller and Robert Miller; son-in-law, James Enyart and granddaughter-in-law, Danica Enyart..

Friends and family may call at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis, Ohio Wednesday, May 8, 2019 from 5:00-7:00 PM. Cremation services to follow.  Memorial services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Friday May 17, 2019 in the Grace United Methodist Church, Gallipolis with Pastor Robert Powell officiating.
