Gary William Hasseman, Gallipolis, Ohio passed away Monday, September 18, 2017 in Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis, Ohio. Born August 30, 1941 in Canton, Ohio, he was the son of the late Carl William and Louava (Coe) Hasseman. Gary retired from Holzer Medical Center after 25 years of service in the Telephone Communication Department. He was very involved in the Gallia Meigs Airport since 1980 and he was a licensed flight instructor for 50 years. He was a member of the American Legion and an avid dog lover. Gary married Linda (Veres) Hasseman March 18, 1967 in Winchester, Virginia and together they celebrated 50 years of marriage earlier this year.

He is survived by his wife, Linda and sons: Mark W. (Nikita) Hasseman, Vinton, Ohio; Matt W. Hasseman, Rodney, Ohio and step-son: Lance Buzby, Jacksonville, Florida; grandchildren: Asa W. Hasseman and Madi Hasseman, both of Toledo, Ohio and Bailey Buzby and Mason Buzby, both of Jacksonville, Florida; brother, Brian Hasseman, Fairfield, Ohio and sisters: Paulette (Todd) Polen, Canal Fulton, Ohio and Laura (Werner) Sonntag, Broadview Heights, Ohio as well as a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

In accordance with Gary’s wishes, there will be no services. Cremation services are under the direction of the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis, Ohio who is honored to serve the Hasseman Family.
