Mary Virginia (Rece) Myers

Mary Virginia Myers, 92, Delaware, Ohio passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Delaware Court Health Care, Delaware, Ohio. She was born December 9, 1925 at Huntington, West Virginia to the late Thomas Harvey and Kathryn Wysong Rece.  She was a graduate of Vinton High School, Vinton, Ohio and a member of American Legion Auxiliary, Vinton, Ohio.  She enjoyed home childcare for friends and family and flower gardening. Mary married Okey Ray Myers on August 28, 1948 in Gallipolis, Ohio and he preceded her in death. 

Mary is survived by her son, Michael R. (Cheryl) Myers, Delaware, Ohio; daughters, Jennifer L. (Gary) Blanton, Herndon, Virginia and Kathy A. (Steve) Ward, Delaware, Ohio; eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren; sister Verta (Jim) Casto, Vinton, Ohio and sister-in-law, Lillian Rece, Colorado.

Graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Monday, March 5, 2018 at Vinton Memorial Park, Vinton, Ohio with Pastor Heath Jenkins officiating.  Family and friends may call Monday,at McCoy- Moore Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel from 12:00–1:45 PM.
