Nina Faye Stover Mahan, 71, Gallipolis, Ohio, passed away Friday, December 28, 2018 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, Ohio. She was born May 26, 1947 in Columbus, Ohio, the daughter of the late Russell Emmett Stover and Rachel Halley Stover. She was a graduate of Gallia Academy High School and retired from the Gallipolis City Schools where she had served as a cook for thirty years. She attended the Rodney Pike Church of God.
Nina is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Steven P. and Linda Mahan of Gallipolis and three grandchildren: Stevie Breean Mahan, Mathew (Brandie) McCoy, and Lindsay (Mike) James. Also surviving are seven great-grandchildren: Savannah, Madison and Ethan Shoemaker; Jake, Kylie, Chloe and Tommy McCoy and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by sisters: Genevieve Fowler, Dixie Thompson, Wilma Martin, Ewart May Stover, Bernadine Hill and brothers: Charles Stover, Tracy Stover, Garland Stover, Glenn Stover and Harland Stover.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Monday, December 31, 2018 in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis with Pastor Ron Bynum officiating. Burial will follow in the Mina Chapel Cemetery. Friends and family may call at the funeral home Monday 12:00 PM until the Funeral service at 1:00 PM.
