Richard Marlin Kingery, 74, Bidwell, Ohio passed away at home Saturday, September 15, 2018. He was born October 4, 1943 in Gallipolis, Ohio. He was the son of the late Arnold and Ora Angel Kingery.
He married the love of his life, Janet A. Kingery, April 6, 1973 in Clintwood, Virginia and she survives along with two daughters, Daniele (Mike) Woodyard, Jackson, Ohio and Janette Elliott, Richmond Dale, Ohio. He is also survived by four grandchildren: Shawn and Blake Woodyard, Jackson, Ohio: Ryan Elliott, Gallipolis, Ohio and Brittany (James) Baker, Bidwell, Ohio and one-great grandchild, Chloe Baker. He is also survived by his faithful cat companion, Georgette, who made sure that he was well taken care of.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Kingery; brother-in-law, Eugene Call and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Hobart and Genevieve Call.
Marlin worked at GKN as a press operator, retiring in 2007 due to health issues. He spent his last years at home enjoying time spent with family and enjoyed all of his friends that came to visit and pray with him while he was at home.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Sherry Russell at Rio Family Health Care for the excellent care she provided, the Holzer Hospital ER and ICU staff, Adena Hospital ICU staff and the Heartland Hospice Staff for their excellent care.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 19, 2018 in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis, Ohio with Rev. David Greer officiating. Burial will follow in Centenary Cemetery. Friends may call at the Funeral Home Tuesday 6:00-8:00 PM.
Pall bearers will be: Shawn Woodyard, Mike Woodyard, Blake Woodyard, Mike Plymale, Steve Dunn, Terry Elliott, and Larry Burris. Honorary Pall Bearers will be Tom Gooch and Lloyd Danner.
