Rodney Lee Heffner, 44, Oak Hill, Ohio passed away Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis, Ohio. He was born in Columbus, Ohio August 24, 1973 to the late Ben Blair and Lillie Mae Shreck. Rodney married Anna Rose Seagraves and she survives.
Rodney was a family man - there was nothing more important to him than his family. He also enjoyed the wild outdoors as Nature was natural to him. He enjoyed his animals, having a small “zoo” he cared for and enjoyed every minute of it. He also enjoyed boating, fishing and working on his old Chevy pickup which he restored mostly by himself. Rodney lived life to the fullest.
Rodney is also survived by his dear mother, Lillie Mae Heffner, Waverly, Ohio; three beautiful daughters: Kristen Heffner, Jackson, Ohio; Kayla Heffner and Kyra Heffner, both of Lucasville, Ohio; step-mother, Judy Heffner, Jasper, Ohio; seven brothers: Robert Carter, Isaac Heffner, Ralph (Tracy) Heffner and Roy Carter, all of Waverly, Ohio; Jason Carter, Beaver, Ohio; Eddie Heffner, Jasper, Ohio and Billy (Brandy) Heffner, Idaho, Ohio; eleven sisters: Pam (Randy) Howard, Ella Howard, Mary (Tim) Schmidt and Debbie Kitts, all of Waverly, Ohio; Ruthie Demint, Molly (Steve) Merrit and Sherry (Bobby) Whitt, all of Beaver, Ohio; Jamie (Bret) Durham, Jackson, Ohio; Sarah (Mike) Lewis, Rarden, Ohio; Daphne Montgomery, Lucasville, Ohio and Christina “Punkin” (Sam) Jenkins, Latham, Ohio; mother-in-law, Rose (Bill) Seagraves, Vinton, Ohio; brothers -in-law, Richie (Jeannie) Seagraves, Oak Hill, Ohio and James (Christal) Seagraves, Patriot, Ohio; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews that were all dear to him and several cousins.
In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his Dad who raised him, Jack Heffner; sisters, Tina Stigall and Penny Blair; nephew, Ronny Howard; nieces, Whitney Merritt and Cheyann Stigall and brother-in-law, Chuck Demint.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, May 31, 2018 at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel, with Pastor Jane Ann Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Centerpoint Cemetery, Oak Hill, Ohio. Family and friends may call at the funeral home beginning at 11:00 AM to the time of service.
