Ronald Martin Obituary

Ronald Lee Martin, 59, Gallipolis, Ohio passed away peacefully with his wife by his side Monday, April 2, 2018 in Gallipolis, Ohio. Born November 9, 1958 at Mount Sterling, Michigan, he was the son of the late Norman C. and Annabelle (Peterson) Martin. A United States Army Veteran and Coast Guard Auxiliary Member, Ron received certificates for Office Management and Computer Technology from Buckeye Hill Career Center, yet his love was for his work as a self-employed contractor. Ron was an avid Harley Davidson Motorcycle Rider, always with his wife, Kristina “Kris” Bush Martin, by his side. He and Kris were married in Gallipolis, Ohio July 10, 1993 and spent twenty-six loving years together. He was an active member of the Gallipolis Harley Owners Group (HOG) Club and the NRA.

Ron leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Kris and daughter, Jessica Bush, Gallipolis, Ohio; brother, Dave Maynard, Arizona; his “babies”: Dyna, Electra, Jax, Willow and Jessie; special friends: Rich and Bobbi Thomas, Collin and Sarah Randolph, Ron Warner, Ray Clagg, The Guinther Family, The Patterson Family, Baxter’s Harley Davidson Staff and HOG Club Members as well as several other extended family members and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his loving companion, Harley D.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation services are under the direction of the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis, Ohio.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted Sunday, April 15, 2018 in Ron's Memory. A Memorial Ride will commence at 2:00 PM at Kingdom Ministries 839 Kerr Road, Bidwell, Ohio. Riders are asked to be at the church at 1:00 PM. Following the Ride, Pastor Randy Patterson will begin the celebration at the church until 4:00 PM. The family extends the invitation to the ride not only to bikers - all are welcome.

Ron once said “He who rides the mountains and hills with courage and grace is a good man” – a sentiment that many feel defines who he was and how he will be remembered.
