Rose Mary (Paymaster) Skidmore

Rose Skidmore, 83, Gallipolis, Ohio passed away at Holzer Assisted Living Saturday, January 12, 2019.  She was born September 12, 1935 in Hammond, Indiana, daughter of the late Frank and Margaret (Treiber) Paymaster.  She married Elmer O. Skidmore February 20, 1954 in Valparaiso, Indiana, and he preceded her in death November 30, 1995.

Rose is survived by a son and two daughters: Duane (Son Ok) Skidmore, Goose Creek, South Carolina; Linda Harold, Gallipolis, Ohio and Julie (Thad) Haines, Oak Hill, Ohio. Also surviving are six grandchildren: Randy and Derek Harold; Luke, Christine, Kelly and Keith Skidmore, thirteen great grandchildren and a brother, Bill (Celeste) Paymaster, Joliet, Illinois.

In addition to her husband Elmer, she was preceded in death by son Stephen Skidmore, brother Frank Paymaster and sisters Margaret Gurski and Frances Jamroz.

Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM Tuesday January 15, 2019 at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis, Ohio with Pastor Thom Mollohan officiating.  Burial will follow in Ohio Valley Gardens. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service.

In lieu of flowers of Memorial gifts may be given to Holzer Assisted Living Activity Fund, 300 Briarwood Rd., Gallipolis, Ohio 45631.
