Wanda Lee (Erwin) McClaskey

Wanda L. McClaskey, 87, Bidwell, Ohio passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2017 in Holzer Senior Care Center, Bidwell, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late Mervin Leslie and Helen Gentry (Grover) Erwin, born November 24, 1929 in Bidwell, Ohio. Wanda worked as an Employment Interviewer for the State of Ohio before her retirement after 30 years of service in 1987 and was a member of Clark Chapel Church, Bidwell, Ohio. She attended Trinity Gospel Mission and was a past President for several years of the local chapter of PERI.  She wed Delmar McClaskey October 10, 1950 who preceded her in death after more than 50 years of marriage February 19, 2002.

Wanda is survived by her nieces: Judy McCulty, Gallipolis, Ohio; Jane (Jerry) Colley, Jackson County, Ohio; Julie (James) Saunders, Gallipolis, Ohio and Teresa Erwin, Texas; nephews: Robert (Sharon) Lewis and Seth Erwin, both of Mount Vernon, Ohio; Jerry Leslie Erwin, Vinton, Ohio; Billy McCulty, Johnny Colley and Ricky Erwin, all of Gallipolis, Ohio; J. D. Colley, Point Pleasant, West Virginia; Tony Erwin, Texas; Jesse Erwin, Louisiana; J. R. Erwin, Jeremy Erwin and Dustin Erwin, all of Columbus, Ohio.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Bobby Erwin; nephews, Ronald Erwin and Billy McCulty and niece, Melonia McCulty.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Friday, August 11, 2017 in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel, with Pastor Robert Hersman officiating. Burial will follow in the Vinton Memorial Park. Friends and family may call at the funeral home Friday 11:00 AM-1:00 PM.
