William “Bill” Wayne Henry, 70, Vinton, Ohio died Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at his home after a lengthy illness. Born July 12, 1948 in Gallipolis Ferry, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Lee and Maxine (Hatfield) Henry. Bill was a United States Army Veteran serving in the Vietnam Conflict. He was employed by Ferrell Gas Company as a propane truck driver for many years and CSX Railroad as a track inspector for several years. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, deer hunting, farming and riding his tractor – especially driving his grandchildren on the backhoe.
Bill leaves behind his wife of forty-two years, Lois Tipton Henry and daughter, Angela (Brian) Bias, both of Vinton, Ohio and his grandchildren: Megan, Mason and Melea Bias. Also surviving are brother, Roy Henry, Point Pleasant, West Virginia; nephews: Dale Henry, Randy Henry, Chad Tipton, Caleb Tipton and Kyle Tipton; niece, Penny Rainey and his special son, Josh Doerfer; mother-in-law, Virginia Tipton, Gallipolis, Ohio; sisters-in-law, Violet Henry, Gallipolis Ferry, West Virginia; Lynn Tipton and brother-in-law, Mike Tipton, both of Gallipolis, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by son, Shawn Michael Henry and brothers: Bobby Lee Henry and Ronnie Ray Henry and sister: Linda Follrod. Also preceding were father-in-law, Richard Tipton; sisters-in-law, Wanda Henry and Shari Tipton and brother-in-law, Joseph Tipton.
In accordance with Bill’s wishes, there will be no Funeral services. The Family will receive friends Friday, September 28, 2018 in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, 420 First Ave, Gallipolis, Ohio 12:00 Noon to 2:00 PM. Cremation services will follow.
