Ada B. Payne
January 27, 1905 — February 19, 2005
Ada B. Payne, 100, passed away Saturday, February 19, 2005 at Holzer Senior Care Center, Bidwell, Ohio. She was a retired cook, Bidwell Elementary School and a member of the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, Bidwell, where she had served as President of the Willing Workers Club.
Ada was born January 27, 1905 in Gallia County, Ohio, daughter of the late William E. and Adeline Newby Stephens. The last of her immediate family, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Payne; a twin sister, Edna Payne; and three brothers.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 23, 2005 at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, Bidwell, Ohio. Burial will follow in the Pine Street Cemetery, Gallipolis. Friends may call at McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton, Ohio on Tuesday from 5:00-7:00 PM.
