Adis A. Maynard, Jr.
July 10, 1937 — February 24, 2007
Adis Maynard Jr., 69, Vinton, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Saturday, February 24, 2007. He was born July 10, 1937 in Pike County, Kentucky, son of the late Adis A. Maynard and Gladys Chapman Maynard. He was a retired US Air Force veteran and had also retired from the Gallia County School System where he was custodian for Vinton and Bidwell elementary schools.
He married Regina Mae Kuhn September 2, 1964 and she preceded him in death December7, 1984.
He is survived by two sons, John T. (Julie) Maynard, Vinton, and Jeff (Emily) Maynard, Roseville, South Carolina; three grandchildren, Alex and Regina Maynard, and Catherine Christine Maynard; two brothers, Fred (Margaret) Maynard, Texas and Henry Lee (Nancy) Maynard, Bidwell; and three sisters, Florida (Albert) Hively, London, Ohio, Martha Sue Holley, Vinton, and Etta Marie (Ralph) Spence, Bidwell.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, February 28, 2007 in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton, with Pastor Mickey Maynard officiating. Friends may call from 6:00-8:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Military services will be conducted by the Vinton American Legion Post 161.
