Alfred Ray Smith

Alfred Ray Smith, 81 of Bidwell, Ohio passed away Saturday March 23, 2024 at his residence. He was born March 28, 1942 in Meigs County, Ohio son of the late Fred Smith Sr. and Ellen (Fabri) Smith.  Alfred was a retired coal miner and former owner/operator of Smith's Construction.

He is survived by his children, Tina Johnson, Bidwell, Ohio, Ray (Tracy) Smith, Cheshire, Ohio, Anthony (Kimberly) Smith, Rutland, Ohio, Laura (Gary) Jasielum, Cambridge, Ohio, Eric (Penny) Smith, Rutland, Ohio and Matthew (Lisa) Smith, Tennessee; fourteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren; sisters, Shirley Smith, Middleport, Ohio, Pauline (Fred) Hoffman, Middleport, Ohio, Bessie Baughman, Middleport, Ohio and Dolly Spires, Newark, Ohio.

In addition to his parents Alfred was preceded in death by brothers, Carter and Fred "Junior" Smith and a sister, Rhoda Duckworth.

In accordance with Alfred's wishes there will be no services. The McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis is honored to serve the Smith Family .
