Alyssa Thomas

Alyssa Thomas, 19, Gallipolis, Ohio died Sunday, December 2, 2018 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. Alyssa was born January 7, 1999 in Huntington, West Virginia, daughter of Mark and Kimberly (Polcyn) Thomas, Gallipolis, Ohio. A 2017 graduate of River Valley High School, Bidwell, Ohio, she was an avid horseback rider and trainer and enjoyed riding her motorcycle.

Alyssa leaves behind to cherish her memory her parents, Mark and Kimberly Thomas and sisters and brother: Megan Thomas, Patriot, Ohio; Andrea (Austin) Whobrey, Hannah Thomas and Ryan Thomas, all of Gallipolis; grandparents: Roger and Beulah Thomas, Patriot, Ohio and Robert Polcyn, Gallipolis, Ohio; great-grandmother, Martha Schaeffing and a host of aunts, uncles and extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Deborah Schaeffing-Polcyn and great-grandfather, Robert L. Schaeffing and her beloved dog, Roxie.

Private Funeral services will be conducted at the convenience of the family with cremation services under the direction of the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis. Friends and family may call at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Weatherholt, Chapel Wednesday 5:00-8:00 PM.
