Amy Arizona (Drummond) Sexton

Amy Arizona Sexton, 90, Kerr, Ohio passed away at Holzer Senior Care, Bidwell, Ohio Saturday, August 15, 2015. She was born September 13, 1924 in Harrison Township of Gallia County, Ohio, daughter of the late Harry Clifford Drummond and Murlie Cerlesta Johnson Drummond. She married William Orville Sexton November 18, 1949 in Evergreen, Ohio, and he preceded her in death January 19, 2011. Amy was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Porter and the United Methodist Women's Society. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Amy is survived by two sons: Richard O. (Cindy) Sexton and Ronald Keith (Martha) Sexton, both of Bidwell, Ohio; three grandchildren: Shawn Sexton, Gallipolis, Ohio; Lori Ann (Matt) Cremeans, Vinton, Ohio and Jamie (James) Pratt, Thurman, Ohio.

Also surviving are four great-grandchildren: Christopher Sexton, Joe Sexton, Jaden Sexton and Grace Ann Cremeans as well as two sisters: Opal Barcus and Nancy Warren, both of Eureka, Ohio.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by brothers Clifford, Marshall, Arthur, Tommy and Harley Drummond and sisters, Myrtle Kemper, Minnie Harrison and Edith Mae Drummond.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at the Trinity United Methodist Church, Porter, Ohio with Pastors Dan Lamphier and Jack Berry officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Street Cemetery, Gallipolis, Ohio. Friends may call at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis, Ohio Tuesday 5:00-8:00 PM.
