Angeline Ward

Angeline Ward, 95, of Vinton, Ohio, passed away at home Wednesday, June 17, 2026. She was born May 12, 1931, in Pike County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Charles Thacker and Darthula (Pinion) Thacker. Angeline married Clyde Ward July 3, 1950, and he precedes her in death January 16, 2008.

She is survived by three children: Sue (Larry) Hunt, Lestel (Debbie) Ward, both of Vinton and Larry (Jonda) Ward, Bidwell, Ohio; five grandchildren: Angel (Jim) Morris, Larry (Terry) Hunt and Sarah (Adam) Hood, all of Vinton, Cynthia (Tracy Fisher) Ward, Lancaster, Ohio and Leslie (Derek) Rhodes, Bidwell, Ohio.

Also surviving are twelve great-grandchildren: Zach, Ashley and Jacob (Alyssa) Morris, Ian, Joel and Kye Hood, Baylor Rhodes, Levi and Austin Ashburn, Elye, Jace and Owen Hunt; three great-great-grandchildren: Zayden, Lyric and Chloe Ashburn; brother-in-law, Chester (Judy) Ward, Vinton and sisters-in-law, Berdie (James) Harless, Scilvie Blackburn, both of Vinton and Clara Blackburn, South Carolina as well as a host of nieces, nephews and other extended family members.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded by nine siblings.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, June 21, 2026, in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel. Burial will follow in Vinton Memorial Park Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home Sunday, 1:00-3:00 PM.
