Anna Mae (Jenkins) Humphrey
March 22, 1918 — August 4, 2008
Anna Mae Humphrey, 90, Bidwell, went home to be with her Lord Monday, August 4, 2008 at Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis. She was born March 22, 1918 in Welch, West Virginia, daughter of the late Abraham Jenkins. She was a member of the Poplar Ridge Free Will Baptist Church at Bidwell.
Anna is survived by three sons: Edward (Betty) Humphrey, Vinton; Charles (Mary) Humphrey and Donald (Ida) Humphrey, both of Columbus; two daughters, Jane Hensley, Bidwell and Violet (Jerry) Hughes, Indiana; twenty eight grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Haney Springton, Salem, West Virginia.
In addition to her father, Anna was preceded in death by her husband, Evan Humphrey, May 15, 1971; a daughter, Marie Fairchild; a granddaughter, Heather Humphrey; and a son-in-law, Henry Hensley.
Services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, August 7, 2008 in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton. Burial will follow in the Hollister Cemetery near Glouster, Ohio. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday, August 6, 2008 from 6:00-8:00 PM.
Pallbearers will be John Burge, Donny Fairchild, Rick Fairchild, Russell Almanza, Donny Humphrey and Chad Humphrey.
