Audrey V. (Haffelt) Altizer
September 17, 1916 — July 14, 2007
Audrey V. Altizer, 90, Gallipolis passed away in Holzer Medical Center early Saturday morning, July 14, 2007. She was a loving mother and a dedicated, devoted Christian for many, many years. Audrey was born September 17, 1916 near Mercerville, Ohio, daughter of the late John Haffelt and Rosa Elbin Haffelt. She married Verne Altizer June, 1937 in Greenup, Kentucky and he preceded her in death October, 1970. In addition, she was preceded in death by her son, John Altizer, 1997; grandson, John Altizer II, 2007; two brothers and two sisters.
Surviving are her daughter, Donna Altizer, Gallipolis; one sister, Opal Altizer, Gallipolis; and a special friend, Harry W. White.
Committal services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday in the Chapel of Hope, Ohio Valley Memory Gardcens, Gallipolis with Rev. Alfred Holley officiating. Entombment will follow in the Chapel of Peace. Arrangements are by McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis.
