Barbara Sue (Grant) Simmons

Barbara Sue Simmons, 84, Bidwell, Ohio passed away Friday, September 2, 2022 in her home. She was the daughter of the late Richard Stephen and Laura Estelle (Warfield) Grant, born July 23, 1938 at Huntington, West Virginia. She married William Thomas Simmons January 13, 1975 at Rich Creek, Virginia, who survives in their home.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Julie (Larry "Michael" Coon) Simmons, Bidwell, Ohio and two stepchildren, John Simmons, New Haven, West Virginia and Lois Ross, Lockbourne, Ohio; grandchildren: Dustin Reynolds, Bidwell, Ohio; Thomas Sargent, Pomeroy, Ohio; Nicholas Sargent, Bidwell, Ohio; Daniel Simmons, Gallipolis, Ohio and Samantha Merry, Gallipolis, Ohio; and great-grandchildren: Gunner Reynolds, Remy Reynolds, Bianca "Bella" Reynolds, Hazel Reynolds, Ryle Reynolds, Jazmine Sargent, Madison Merry, Abigail Merry, Hallden Simmons and Callen Simmons.

She was preceded by her parents and a daughter, Melissa "Kay" Holley.

Graveside services will be conducted 10:00 AM Tuesday, September 6, 2022 in the Vinton Memorial Park, Vinton, Ohio.
