Barbara A. (Ross) Denney
February 10, 1942 — March 28, 2012
Barbara A. Denney, 70, Columbus, Ohio (formerly of Bidwell) passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2012 in St. Ann's Hospital, Westerville, Ohio. Born February 10, 1942 to the late Roy O. and Vera D. Davis Ross in Bladen, Ohio, she married James M. Denney September 2, 1965 at Bladen and he preceded her in death October 30, 1997.
Barbara was a member of French City Baptist Church, Gallipolis; a member and past Worthy Matron of Vinton OES Chapter #375, and a member of the Gallipolis Chapter of the Red Hat Society.
She is survived by her children, Patricia A. (Michael) Allen, Columbus, Ohio and Russell L. (Jennifer) Denney, Baltimore, Ohio; grandchildren, Candice Renee Denney, Bidwell, Ohio; Jacob and Chase Denney, Baltimore, Ohio; and former daughter-in-law, Jamie Denney, Gallipolis.
In addition to her parents and husband, Barbara was preceded in death by son, James R. Denney; brother, Roger Ross and sister, Jean Keefer.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, April 2, 2012 in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis with Pastor Mark Williams officiating. Entombment will follow in the Ohio Valley Memory Gardens. Friends and family may call at the funeral home Sunday 3:00-6:00 PM. Eastern Star Services will be conducted by the Vinton OES Chapter #375 at 5:45 PM Sunday.
