Barbara S. Wolfe

Barbara S. Wolfe, 70, Orange City, Florida (formerly of Bidwell, Ohio) passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at the Orange City Fish Memorial Hospital. She was a teacher in the Gallia County School System who had taught at the Bidwell Elementary School before her employment at the Gallipolis Developmental Center, Gallipolis, Ohio. Upon her retirement she and her husband established residence in Orange City, Florida.
Barbara was born January 3, 1944 in Gallipolis, Ohio, daughter of the late John Montgomery Hager and Laura Jerusha Hager. She married Wayne Wolfe May 8, 1971 and he survives with four children: Laura (Jim) Harrison, Crown City, Ohio; John (Erica) Wolfe and Joseph Wolfe both of Bidwell, Ohio and James Wolfe, Orange City, Florida. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, a brother Pat Hager, Bidwell, Ohio and sister-in-law, Rita Hager, Bidwell, Ohio.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Mike Hager.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, September 24, 2014 in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton with Dan Underwood officiating. Cremation to follow. Friends may call at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, 11:00 AM until the service hour of 1:00 PM.
