Barton Larkey Repass

Barton Larkey Repass, 77, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away Friday, October 11, 2024, in Holzer Medical Center Emergency Room, Gallipolis, Ohio. Barton was born February 14, 1947, in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, son of the late Edward and Lucille (Larkey) Repass. He was a proud Veteran serving in the Air Force during the Vietnam Conflict.

An active member of Gallipolis Elks Lodge #107, he spent many hours there with friends. An avid hunter and fisherman, he enjoyed riding four-wheelers, enjoyed listening to Bluegrass music, especially his friend's bluegrass band, and was always the "life of the party".

Barton is survived by his loving wife, Sherri (Bowman) Repass, whom he married August 6, 1977, in Pearisburg, Virginia, and loving daughter, Angie (Derrick Handley) Curfman, all of Gallipolis, Ohio. Also missing Barton are grandchildren: Micah (Steven) Kearns, Bryce Curfman and Kayla (Dusty) Burns and great-grandchildren, Ivy Jo Kearns (who he loved sharing his milkshake with) and Kayden Jayjohn.

He will be a cherished memory for his sister, Norma (Hagan) McClellan of North Carolina, sister-in-law, Vickie Repass Clay of Charleston, West Virginia and several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

In addition to his parents, Barton was preceded by a sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Paul Bright, brother, Edward "Eddie" Repass and son-in-law, Scott Curfman.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, October 17, 2024, at 7:00 PM in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis, Ohio with cremation to follow. Family and friends may call at the funeral home Thursday 5:00-7:00 PM.
