Beatrice "Bea" (Kennedy) Bias

Beatrice "Bea" Bias, 83, Vinton, Ohio passed away Monday, February 10, 2014 at Holzer Senior Care Facility, Gallipolis. She was born September 14, 1930 in Verner, West Virginia, daughter of the late Francis Marion "Mage" and Algie Myrna (Lester) Kennedy. She married Robert Bias July 26, 1947 in Mt. Gay, West Virginia, and he preceded her in death September 14, 1987.

Bea is survived by four children: Barry (Paula) Bias, Vinton, Ohio; Brenda Cook, Gallipolis, Ohio; David (Patrice) Bias, Milton, Florida and Daniel (Martha) Bias, Langsville, Ohio; twelve grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson; sister, Eva Garnet Neace, Ranger, West Virginia.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by son, Larry Bias; four sisters: Ruth Kennedy, Naomi Orso, Bonnie Collins and Elizabeth Kennedy; brother, John Kennedy and son-in-law, Allan Cook.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Friday, February 14, 2014 in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton, with Pastor Nick Reader officiating. Burial will follow in Vinton Memorial Park. Family and friends may call at the funeral home 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday.
