Betsy L. (George) Ball
October 28, 1944 — February 29, 2012
Betsy L. Ball, 67, Vinton, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on February 29, 2012. A 1962 North Gallia High School Graduate, she had regularly attended Vinton Baptist Church, Gallipolis Church of the Nazarene and Safe Harbour Church of Danville, Ohio. Her memberships included the Vinton Books and Friends Club and several Garden Clubs.
Betsy was born October 28, 1944 in Gallipolis, Ohio, daughter of the late Martin and Roxie Rife George. She married David M. Ball March 14, 1987, in Parisburgh, Virginia and he survives with five children: Matt (Laura) Stepp, Mark (Cindy) Stepp, Todd Taylor, David J. (Rosena) Ball and Brionna Ball. Also surviving are grandchildren: Ben Stepp; Jessica, Rebecca and Jonathan Stepp; Kris, Michael and Kari Rodgers; Luke, Jayla and Jacob Taylor; Macie, Ethan and Isaac Moss.
In addition two brothers survive: Eddie (Janice) George, Paris, Texas and Herman (Nyoka) George, Vinton; and sisters-in-law: Shirley (Norman) Mount, Vinton, Sandy Roach, Mercerville, Ohio and Pat (Ed) Black, Northup, Ohio; special friends: Susie Williams, Gallipolis and Sharon Boster, Vinton along with several nieces, nephews and friends.
One brother, Harold George preceded her in death.
Betsy and David enjoyed traveling together and observing the beauty of nature. She also loved gardening and spending time outside working in her flower beds.
McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton, announces the Funeral services for Betsy will be held 12:00 Noon Friday, March 9, 2012 in the Vinton Baptist Church, 11818 SR 160, Vinton. Burial will follow in the Vinton Memorial Park. Friends may call at the church Thursday, 3:00 - 8:00 PM.
