Betty Lou Gardner Clark, 81, of Gallipolis, Ohio, passed away peacefully in her home Thursday, October 31, 2024, surrounded by loved ones. Born January 28, 1943, in Gallipolis, she was the daughter of the late Marvin and Eva (Shoemaker) Gardner. Betty married the love of her life Delmar Dean Clark, October 22, 1959, and he precedes her in death.
Betty was a lover of collecting 4-leaf clovers and was always on the hunt for one to add to her collection.
Betty is survived by three daughters: Loretta (Steve) Moore, Gallipolis, and Subina (Ronnie) Phillips, Jr., both of Gallipolis and Pebbles Bauer, Rutland, Ohio. She was an adored grandmother to her grandchildren: Chris (Kayla) Moore, Molly (Aaron Ihle) Levacy, Sarah Barcus, Jillian (Nathanael) Phillips and Megan Phillips and great-grandchildren: Caiden, Callie, Tenley, Creek, Avery, Mahala, Elizabeth, Noah and Greyson.
Betty is also survived by brothers, Billy Gardner and Ernie Gardner and sisters, Teresa Little, Julia James and Denise Williams, special friend and caregiver, Joyce McDonald as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded by grandson, Noah William Phillips; siblings, James Gardner, Tulicia Cremeans and Randy Gardner and son-in-law, Samuel Bauer.
Graveside services per Betty's wishes will be conducted 12:00 PM Monday, November 4, 2024, in the Addison Reynolds Cemetery, Gallipolis, Ohio, with Mel Mock officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis.
