Betty J. (Mcbride) Haire

Betty J. McBride Haire, 79, Tallahassee, Florida passed away Sunday, January 11, 2009 at Capital Regional Medical Center, Tallahassee. She was born March 2, 1929 in Kanauga, Ohio, daughter of the late Carl and Winnie Topping Phillips.
A former member of Harrisburg Baptist Church, Betty is survived by her daughter, Carol (Clyde) Smith, Bidwell, Ohio and three sons: Chuck (Priscilla) McBride, Bidwell, Ohio; Kenny (Johnna) McBride, Hosford, Florida and Lewie McBride, Tallahassee, Florida; daughter-in-law, Susan McBride; eight grandchildren: Craig Smith, Clay (Shawn) Smith, Cari (Steve) Blouir, Amy McBride, Rex McBride, Sarah Pratt, Joseph McBride and Rachel McBride; five great-grandchildren and two step-grandchildren; two brothers: Joe (Ruth)Phillips, Gallipolis, Ohio and Jerry Phillips, Bidwell, Ohio; special nieces and nephews entrusted to her care: Merrill (Juanita) Jacobs, Jacksonville, Florida; Sherri (John) Simms, Las Vegas, Nevada and Jerrie (Curt) Studdard, Tallahassee.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded by husbands Bill McBride, Mac McLaurin, and A.W. Haire; son, Buck McBride; sister, Marie Ellen Voreh and nephew, Donnie Voreh.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, January 17, 2009 in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, 420 First Ave, Gallipolis with Rev. Marvin Sallee officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Bidwell. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday, January 16, 2009 from 5:00-8:00 PM. Betty's sons and grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
