Betty Lou Marcum, 77, Vinton, passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2011, in Pleasant Valley Hospital, Pt. Pleasant, West Virginia, surrounded by her family. She was a member of the White Oak Baptist Church.
She was born January 6, 1934, in Chesapeake, Ohio, daughter of the late Stollie and Beulah Bradbury McComas. She is survived by one son, David (Tina) Roberts, Vinton and one daughter, Patty Cunningham, Waverly, Ohio. In addition five grandchildren survive: Jerrod and Tracy Roberts, both of Vinton; James Roberts, Columbus, Ohio; Melinda Gray and Phylicia Cunningham, both of Waverly; several great grandchildren; two brothers, Gary McComas and Hayward (Martha) McComas, both of Vinton; one sister, Paula Stover, Kerr, Ohio; and three step-children: Mike Marcum, Mary Oiler and Sandy (Kenny) Depue, all of Vinton.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Kelly Marcum and a brother, Larry McComas.
Services will be held 1:00 PM, Saturday, August 13, 2011 at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton, with Pastor Carl Ward officiating. Burial will follow in Vinton Memorial Park. Friends and family may call at the funeral home from 4:00 - 8:00 PM, Friday, August 12, 2011.
