Beulah N. (Miller) Hickman

Beulah N. Hickman, 91, Gallipolis (formerly Bidwell) passed away in Arbors of Gallipolis Saturday, March 12, 2005. She was a retired employee of the Gallipolis Developmental Center; a member of the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, Bidwell; and the Lucy Ann Chapter Order of the Eastern Star, Gallipolis. Beulah was born September 20, 1913 in Gallia County, Ohio, daughter of the late John E. Miller and Luella Newman Miller.

She was preceded in death by her husband Angelo Hickman in 1983 and four children: Delores Jean Hickman, Clarence Emerson Hickman, Meryle Richard Hickman and Wandall Lewis Hickman; four sisters and three brothers: Margaret Penn, Winona Donaldson, Grace Lethridge, Dorothy Neighbors, Eugene Miller, Virgil Matthews and Theodore Miller; and two half sisters and a half brother: Florence Casey, Gladys Miller and Ira Miller.

She is survived by a daughter Connie Evans, Bidwell, Ohio, seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; three half sisters and one half-brother: Maxine Griffin, Columbus, Ohio; Marietta Watkins, New Jersey; Loretta Brown, New Jersey and Benjamin Miller, Columbus, Ohio.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday in the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church with Rev. Gene Armstrong officiating. Burial will be in the Pine Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton, on Monday 6:00-8:00 PM.
