Brenda Kay (Mathias) Payne

Brenda Kay Payne, 62, of Bidwell, Ohio passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2025, in Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus, Ohio. Born April 26, 1962, in Mason, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Sharon (Ballard) Mathias. Brenda enjoyed gardening and raising different types of flowers, crocheting and especially spending time with her family and friends.

Brenda is survived by her husband, Wendell Payne, whom she married August 11, 2005; her children: Randall Mollohan, Vinton, Ohio, Kay (Josh) Stamper, Bidwell, Ohio and Lauren Mollohan, Gallipolis, Ohio; grandchildren: R.J. Mollohan, Ridge Mollohan, Sierra Mollohan and Kalyb Stamper. Also surviving are sister, Kathy (Keith) Veith and nephew, Jason Veith, all of New Hampshire as well as many extended family members and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, February 21, 2025 at 12:00 PM in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis, Ohio with cremation to follow. Family and friends may call at the funeral home Friday 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
