Carolyn Ann Carman, 77, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away peacefully Monday, February 10, 2025, in Pleasant Valley Nursing Home, Point Pleasant, West Virginia. Carolyn was born October 5, 1947, in Gallipolis, daughter to the late Hanley and Bernice (Clark) Gardner.
A 1965 graduate of Gallia Academy High School, she married the love of her life, Donald Carman, Sr., in April 1966. Together they spent fifty-two years of love and marriage until his death December 6, 2018.
To this union were born two children: Donald Carman, Jr. and Michele "Missy" (Rick) Rardin, both of Gallipolis; her grandchildren, which she thought the sun rose and set in: Bethany (Brandon) Coburn, Gallipolis, Samantha Carman, Mason, West Virginia, Jacob Rardin and Jordan Rardin, both of Gallipolis as well as great-grandchildren, Mason Miller and Brock Coburn.
Carolyn also leaves behind her sisters: Belle Polcyn and Janet Jackson, both of Gallipolis and Shirley Schmigal, Kentucky as well as sister-in-law, Ruby (Bruce) Landsberg, Gallipolis.
During her life, Carolyn was employed by Holzer Medical Center for over forty years before her retirement. A clinical manager, she touched many peoples lives and made special friends of Matt Mossberg, Shane Maliszewski and Ted Adams.
A member of the Rodney Church of Light until her health prevented her from attending, she loved her church. Carolyn was known for her yard sale treasures she would repurpose with love and was also a great plant lady. Known for her quirky "songs for the moment", she had a sense of humor that was infectious.
In addition to her parents and loving husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Peggy Barcus.
Private Funeral services will be conducted in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis, Ohio with Burial to follow in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Cheshire, Ohio, both at the convenience of the Family.
