Carribel (Stevens) Dingess
February 7, 1922 — March 26, 2006
Carribel Stevens Dingess, 83, Bidwell, Ohio (Porter Community) passed away in Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis Saturday, March 25, 2006. She was a lifelong resident of Gallia County and attended the Bidwell Porter School. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Porter. Carribel was born February 7, 1922 in Harrisburg, Ohio, daughter of the late Harrison Morten and Della Kraus Stevens.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Dingess; two brothers, Eugene and Wyman Stevens; one brother-in-law, Don Grant; and one sister-in-law, Mildred Stevens.
She is survived by a sister, Virginia Grant, St. Paris, Ohio and several nieces and nephews, including a special nephew, Michael Grant, Springfield, Ohio.
Services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 28 in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel, 208 Main St, Vinton with the Rev. Sherron Courneen officiating. Burial will follow in the Calvary Cemetery in Rio Grande. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 10:00-11:00 AM.
