Carson W. Carter

Carson W. Carter, 86, Lancaster, Ohio passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2015. He was born September 20, 1928 to the late Ephriam and Oma (Dewberry) Carter. He married Anna Barker Carter, who preceded him in death.
Carson is survived by two daughters: Pamela Glassburn, Bidwell, Ohio and Norma Carter, Lancaster; grandchildren: Jane A. Brandeberry and Aimee (Mike) O'Bryan, both of Bidwell; great-grandchildren: Jaime Glassburn, Shelby Smittle, Chelsea Brown, Levi Brandeberry, Josh Glassburn, Cobi Brandeberry, Ty Smittle, Addison Glassburn and Laura O'Bryan; great-great-grandson, Tyson Jarrell; brother, Kenneth (Macy) Carter, Hartford, West Virginia; sisters-in-law: Jeanette Weimann, Lancaster and Carolyn (Bill) Demoskey, Middleport, Ohio.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a grandson, J.C. Glassburn; brothers: Henry Carter, Herman Carter and sister, Margarett Legg.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Monday, August 31, 2015 in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel with Pastor Chester Hess officiating. Military Graveside Rites will be performed by the Vinton American Legion Post 161. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Bidwell. Friends and family may call at the funeral home Sunday 4:00-6:00 PM.
