Celestine (Sergent) North

Celestine North, 88, Gallipolis, went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 7, 2005 at her residence. She was born September 15, 1917, daughter of the late Charles and Odna Sergent Duncan. She attended The First Church of God, Gallipolis.

Celestine is survived by two sons: Larry North and David North, both of Gallipolis, Ohio; three daughters: Carol Sue (David) Stahl, Columbus, Ohio; Sonja (Eddie) Conner, Morgantown, West Virginia and Tanya (Mike) Fulks, Gallipolis; twelve grandchildren: David W. North Jr., Waco, Texas; Pam (Bruce) Blackston, Pomeroy, Ohio; Crystal North; Amanda (Richard) Cooper, Roanoke, Virginia; Lorri (Steve) Patterson, Gallipolis; Larry North II, Steamboat Springs, Colorado; Celestina (Mark) Combs and Elizabeth (Julian) Thomas, both of Morgantown, West Virginia; Samuel (Christy) Stahl, Columbus, Ohio; Benjamin (Shelia) Stahl, Alabama; Christopher (Johnni) Fulks, Pt. Pleasant, West Virginia and Jonathan Fulks, Gallipolis; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Talmadge Duncan, Cummings, Georgia; two nieces: Ann Beaver, Winfield, West Virginia and Sally (Eddie) Stout, Hilliard, Ohio and nephew, Phillip Duncan, Cummings, Georgia.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Woodrow North, who passed away on October 16, 2001 and her sister, Dreama Parrish, November 7, 2001.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Monday October 10, 2005 with Rev. Mark Combs officiating at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, 420 First Ave, Gallipolis. Burial will follow in Pine Street Cemetery, Gallipolis. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 4:00-7:00 PM.
