Charles W. Beach

Charles W. Beach, 71, Vinton, Ohio passed away Saturday January 4, 2002 in the Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis. He was born November 30, 1931 at Barnesville, Ohio, son of the late Fred W. and Bertha Piatt Beach. He retired from the Gallipolis Developmental Center after thirty-two years of service. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict and a member of the VFW Post #4464, Gallipolis.
Charles is survived by his wife of forty-eight years, Charlotte James, whom he married April 3, 1954 at Gallipolis; daughter, Patty Beach, Vinton and two sons: Chuck Beach and Ron Beach, both of Vinton; three grandchildren: Dustin, Zach and Sable Beach; sister, Betty (Bill) Saunders, Ft. Myers, Florida; and mother-in-law, Norma James, Gallipolis.
He was preceded in death by an infant brother and father-in-law, Frank James.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Tuesday, January 7, 2002 in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis with Rev. Ralph Workman officiating. Burial will follow in the Ohio Valley Memory Gardens, Gallipolis. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday 6:00-8:00 PM. Military Flag presentation will be conducted by VFW Post #4464, Gallipolis. Pallbearers will be Steve, Kelly, Brice and Terry Jo James, Vance Violand and Mike Fraley.
