Charles Edward Garvin

Charles E. Garvin, 86, Vinton, Ohio passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, Ohio. He was born December 22, 1929 in Wilkesville, Ohio to the late William and Mary Lowe Garvin. Charles had retired after 44 years with DTI and Grand Trunk Railroad. He attended Wilkesville United Methodist Church and was a member of Albany Masonic Lodge #723.
Charles is survived by his wife, Mary Pridemore Garvin, who he married in 1951; son, Michael (Darla) Garvin, Vinton, Ohio; daughters: Candace (Gary) Krzeczowski, Jackson, Ohio and Deborah (Ron Michaels) Garvin, Columbus, Ohio; sisters, Ann Lewis, Columbus, Ohio and Mary Frank, Athens, Ohio.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded by four sisters: Goldie Townsend, Sylvia Ambrose, Helen Garvin, and Neva Mossman and two brothers, John Garvin and Walter Garvin.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 Noon Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel, with Reverend Pat McKenzie officiating. Burial will follow in Vinton Memorial Park. Family and friends may call at the funeral home Monday 3:00 to 6:00 PM. Masonic services will be conducted 6:00 PM Monday by Albany F&AM Lodge #723.
