Charles William Stapleton, Jr.

Charles W. Stapleton Jr., 73, Wilkesville, Ohio passed away Sunday December 22, 2019. He was born July 31, 1946 in Cabin Creek, West Virginia, son of the late Charles William Stapleton, Sr. and Anna Mae Richards Stapleton. Charles attended the Columbia Chapel Church, Albany, Ohio. He retired from Kokosing Construction in 2006 and was a proud member of Laborers International Union Local 83 Portsmouth, Ohio for more than 50 years.

Charles is survived by three sons: Kevin (Crystal) Knox, Vinton, Ohio; Robert (Tina) Stapleton, Reynoldsburg, Ohio and Chad (Tammy) Stapleton, Vinton, Ohio;  nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; brother, Luther (Darla) Stapleton, Princeton, West Virginia and sister, Patricia (Larry) Speakman, Ray, Ohio.

In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his wife Frances Knox Stapleton on July 28, 2014 and a brother, David Stapleton.

In accordance with his wish's, memorial services will be announced at a later date.  Cremation services are under the direction of the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton, Ohio.
