Charles "Charlie" W. Ragland

Charles W. "Charlie" Ragland 76, Gallipolis, Ohio passed away Monday, February 26, 2024 at his residence. He was born on May 27, 1947 in Wellston, Ohio. Charlie was a 1965 graduate of North Gallia High School and he was a supervisor at Gavin Plant and retired from AEP after 31 years of service.

He is survived by a wife, Barbara "Lainy" Ragland, who loved him dearly. Also missing Charlie are two daughters, Charity (Scott) Miller, Pomeroy, Ohio and Yon (David) Sheheen, Lugoff, South Carolina; stepson, George Wilson, Gallipolis, Ohio and stepdaughters, Helen Gregory, Houston, Texas and Carrie Turpin, Indiana.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Ragland. Charlie will be missed by many. He never knew a stranger and he loved telling stories and always wore a smile. He was a Cleveland Browns fan. A Gathering of Friends will be held Friday, March 1, 2024 at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis from 4:00-6:00PM.
