Christine "Chrissy" Ambler (Jenkins) Davis

Christine "Chrissy" Ambler Davis, 61, Rio Grande, Ohio passed away peacefully Monday, October 7, 2013 at her home. She was born November 9, 1951 in Gallipolis, Ohio, the daughter of Georgiana McCarty Jenkins of Rio Grande and the late Steve Jenkins. She received her undergraduate degree from Miami University and her Master's Degree/Master's in Counseling at the University of Dayton. She taught second grade in the Mason County Local Schools, Point Pleasant, West Virginia, after which she was employed as a guidance counselor at Symmes Valley Local Schools in Lawrence County, Ohio and later at Buckeye Hills Career Center before her retirement. She also attended Simpson Chapel in Rio Grande.

In addition to her mother, Chrissy is survived by her husband, Jerry Lee Davis, Rio Grande; three daughters, Annie Garrison, Longmont, Colorado; Tammi Boyd, Pomeroy, Ohio and Renee Thacker, Rio Grande; brother, Stephen Jenkins, Rio Grande as well as grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Thursday, October 10, 2013 in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis with Revs. Dan Lamphier, Jack Berry and Pat King, officiating. Burial will follow in Mound Hill Cemetery, Gallipolis. Friends and family may call at the funeral home 4:00-8:00 PM Wednesday.
