Christine (Harris) Ward

Christine Ward, 73, passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at her residence in Alice near Vinton. She was born December 26, 1937 in Melvin, Kentucky, daughter of the late Isodore and Sarah Ann (Howell) Harris. She was a retired employee of Rockwell Automation, Gallipolis, Ohio. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Reaford Ward; son, Roy Eugene Ward; grandchildren, Tyler Stevens and Chrystal Ward; great-grandson, Richard Heskett II; brother and sister, Clifford Leo Harris and Wanda Sue Moore; and son-in-law, Frank Heskett.

Christine is survived by four children: Alan (Dawn) Ward, Jeffrey (Kathy) Ward, Kay Heskett and Annette Huffman; her companion, Bobby L. Moore; fourteen grandchildren: Alan Ward II, Keith Ward, Frank Heskett, Richard Heskett, Jonathan Heskett, Jessie Ward, Lisa Hollanbaugh, Jeffrey Ward, Chad Ward, Dusty Ward and Kristine Ward; twelve great-grandchildren: Cheyenne Ward, Cody Ward, Athena Ward, Akadian Ward, Christine Heskett, Victor Heskett, Anthony Heskett, Abbigail Hollanbaugh, Jaden Ward, Jamie Heskett and Chloe Heskett; three brothers and four sisters: Isadore, Arnold and Randle (Lynn) Harris, Dorothy May Johnson, Nannie Sue Harris, Loretta Shrewsbury and Mildred (Cleo) Shewsbury.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, November 20, 2011 at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton, with Pastor Chris Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Ward Family Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday 1:00-3:00 PM at the funeral home.
