Clara Mae (Brumfield) Wellington

Clara Mae Wellington, 85, Vinton, Ohio went to be with the Lord surrounded by her family Saturday, July 6, 2013. She was born May 10, 1928 in Gallia County, Ohio daughter of the late Earl Preston Brumfield and Myrtie Eleanor Roush Brumfield. She married Leo Wellington in 1947 who preceded her in death in 2009.
Mae is survived by eight children: Beatrice (Kenny) Hale, Vinton, Ohio; John (Vickie) Wellington, Patriot, Ohio; Nancy Wellington, Vinton, Ohio; Becky Skidmore, Vinton, Ohio; Howard (Joann) Wellington, Vinton, Ohio; Leo (Belinda) Wellington, Middleport, Ohio; Clair (Sharon) Wellington, Gallipolis, Ohio; Chris (Robin) Wellington, Bidwell, Ohio; eighteen grandchildren and twenty four great-grandchildren. Also surviving are brothers Wilbert (Joanne) Brumfield, St. Clairsville, Ohio and Wayne (Sue) Brumfield, Crown City, Ohio.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a daughter, Leona Sue Wellington, three sisters: Marjorie Bort, Anna Stidham, Maggie Jeffers and brother Eugene Roush.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Thursday, July 11, 2013 at the Fellowship Chapel, Vinton, Ohio with Rev. Carl Ward officiating. Burial will follow in Vinton Memorial Park, Vinton, Ohio. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call Wednesday at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton, Ohio from 4:00-8:00 PM.
