Clibborn Leon Smith

Clibborn L. Smith, 62, Gallipolis, Ohio passed away Saturday, November 12, 2016 at his home. He was born May 12, 1954 in Gallipolis to the late Lloyd Jewel Smith and Anna Frances Dotson Smith. Clibborn was employed as an Operating Engineer before retirement and belonged to the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 18.
He is survived by his brothers and sisters: Lloyd Smith, Jr., Christopher (Mira) Smith, Monroe Johnson, Kathy (George) Garnes and Bessie (Johnny) Simmons, all of Gallipolis, Ohio and was a loving uncle to his many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth Miller.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Friday, November 18, 2016 in the Mount Carmel Church, 14620 State Route 554, Bidwell, Ohio with Pastor Gene Armstrong officiating, with viewing at the church 10:00 AM to the time of service. Burial will follow in Providence Cemetery, Buck Ridge Road, Bidwell, Ohio. Friends and family may call at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, 420 First Ave, Gallipolis, Ohio Thursday 6:00-8:00 PM.
Clibborn will be greatly missed by a host of family and friends whose life he touched with his kindness and love.
