Clyde C. Wright

Our precious dad, Clyde C. Wright, 79, Vinton, Ohio went to join our beloved mother Thursday, November 20, 2014 at his residence. He was born October 12, 1935, son of the late William McKinley and Pearlie Jones Wright in Haymond, Kentucky. He was retired from Southern Ohio Coal Company, a member of United Mine Workers of America and Vinton County Bow Hunters. Clyde married Phyllis "Jeannie" Wright February 3, 1956, who preceded him in death in 2011.
Clyde is survived by a son, David (Karen) Wright, Vinton, Ohio; a daughter, Rhonda (Matt Coffee) Wright, Vinton, Ohio; grandchildren: Cassondra (Jason) Lovett, Florida; Megan (Scott) Harmon, Tennessee; Nathaniel Sluder, Tennessee; Elijah (Shalana) Sluder, Oklahoma and David (Kristen) Wright, Columbus, Ohio; great-grandchildren: Sarah, Courtney, J.C., Emily, Trevor, Lilly, Oliver, Solomon and Caleb and great-great-grandchildren: Anna, Ivan and Bryson and two sisters: Geraldine (Bill) Dagnon, Tennessee and Mildred Bentley, Cincinnati, Ohio.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one infant son, Jackie Allen Wright, one brother and four sisters.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, November 24, 2014 at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel with Pastor Dan Lamphier officiating. Burial will follow at Vinton Memorial Park, Vinton, Ohio. Friends may call at the Funeral Home Sunday from 1:00-4:00 PM.
